3-Day Desert Tour From Marrakech Itinerary
On Day 1 : Marrakech - Telouat - Ait Ben Haddou - Ouarzazate
Depart Marrakech and head to Telouat, a small village in the High Atlas region known for its archeological discoveries. See the beautiful landscape along the way as you head to Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Take some time to explore the Kasbahs of Ait Ben Haddou and have lunch before continuing on to Ouarzazate. Arrive in Ouarzazate in the afternoon and explore its Museum of Cinema, which celebrates the long history of movie–making in the city.
On Day 2 : Ouarzazate – Draa valley – Erg Chegaga
Depart Ouarzazate in the morning and drive to the stunning Draa Valley, where you can see its winding river and plentiful palm groves. Continue on to Erg Chegaga, a stunning desert dune with golden sand and stunning sunsets. Take some time to explore the area and enjoy some stargazing before heading back to your accommodation.
On Day 3 : Erg Chegaga – Foum Zguit – Taznakht – Ouarzazate
Wake up early to catch the sunrise over the beautiful Erg Chegaga desert dunes. From there head to Foum Zguit, a small village surrounded by the High Atlas Mountains. After exploring the area, continue on to Taznakht, known for its Berber weaving and carpets. Finish your day in Ouarzazate, where you can spend the night.
On Day 4 : Ouarzazate – Marrakech
Start your final day by exploring the attractions and activities of Ouarzazate before beginning your journey back to Marrakech. Visit sites such as the Cinema Museum and the Taourirt Kasbah before making your way back to Marrakech, where your journey will come to an end.
